    I agree with first appearance being Convergence: Superman #2. Heh, it's cool it was his birth, too.

    As for 1st app as Superboy, gonna have to go with Superman (Rebirth) #2. Of course, he also has first "on-screen" manifestation of super powers in Superman: Lois and Clark (super hearing #2; invulnerability and super strength #6; semi-flight #8).
