Default Kickstarter Comics and Graphic Novels. How often do you support?

Kickstarter Comics and Graphic Novels. How often do you support?

I've found a lot of great projects on Kickstarter. What about you? Any recommendations?

My new all-ages graphic novel I created with my 5-year-old son, "PUNK TACO" is available now.
PUNK TACO is about a lovable alien taco that rocks out across the galaxy with his band of misfits, fighting evil and anyone in need.

I seem to pledge to one every 2-3 months. The Fred Perry Gold Digger bricks most recently.
I usually pledge to the Palmiotti/Gray/Connor Paperfilms books too.
And i went for the latest Ben Templesmith project as well.

I support Mike Wolfer's Horror Comic KS'ers. They are usually every 2-3 months.

Awesome. I'll check all those out.
I recently got GLADSTONE'S SCHOOL FOR WORLD CONQUERORS 1 and 2 as well as the New Brighton Archeological Society (which I loved). I also backed The Tommy Gun Dolls: A 96-page Graphic Novel which should be done soon and Countdown Until Now Comic Anthology. There are a few more I am forgetting. A bunch I missed because I was broke but it'd definitely been a great place to find new stuff and support creators.

We're supporting very actively. About 50 different projects so far. As we're an indie publishing company, we want to see more indie projects on the market
Also, there's a good dose of dopamine when a project succeeds and you've helped the authors make an important step forward

Following thread as we're looking into the platform experimenting on creating a comic publication .

    Development phases though.

This is interesting as from our researches reciprocity seems to be a big factor in the kickstarter community. I.e. is almost recommended as a best practice to a least fund a project before launching your own.

Definitely, it works that way usually. Although it's not a must. If you manage to find the right audience for your project (which is the hardest part), then you can get support even without having backed up many projects yourself.

Looking at my profile I've supported nearly 50 so far. There's no specific timetable that can be applied though. In the past couple months I've supported 10. Before that I hadn't backed one since sometime last year. Sometimes I'll find out about one that interests me too but it's too late and the campaign is over.

The only currently active one I'm backing is called Sorghum & Spear: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...profile_backed

One I backed in the past worth checking out is Is'nana the Were-spider: https://www.amazon.com/Isnana-Were-S...he+were-spider

If you like a fantasy horror comic, (in the vein of Supernatural) check out White Ash. http://kck.st/2oEWe0G Now fully funded.

    https://www.facebook.com/whiteashcom...5389089186567/

And if on your survey you mention you saw this post here, we'll bump you up one pledge tier, all the way to the $75 level.

As for non self-promotional recommendations, check out Too Good to Be True. http://kck.st/2nnsbwS The art looks amazing. And the story seems like the comic-book version of a Notting Hill love story.

Well it's going on 4 years for the Brigade Kickstarter from Rob Liefeld. Of course every day he posts on Facebook and twitter about Deadpool but never finds the time to release this book. He's even released an Extreme yearbook and Youngblood relaunches in May. I figure he just pocketed/stole the money, cause this is ultra late even for Liefeld. He's made several promises on the kickstarter, first teasing some images and claiming 3 or 4 issues were ready; then problems with printer, then printer was switched, then he was sending Extreme yearbook to everyone, etc. A big reason I hate kickstarter is there is a high rate of thievery/no culpability. Kickstarter acts like eBay, they just want their cut, who cares about fraud?! It's unfortunate, cause douches like that ruin funding opportunities for people that legitimately WOULD put something out. By the way just read about the Brigade mess here... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...rigade-returns

My fave is from October 2015!!!!
First off - thank you, thank you THANK YOU for sending your changed addresses as well as your enthusiasm! I absolutely tested the limits of my own creative tolerance as I re-arranged the chess pieces on the Brigade board. As I informed you months ago, Brigade is the result of the events of Bloodstrike as these books build towards a mutual goal and consequence. I am a man of complicated vision and I make no apologies for the creative decisions that have produced a fantastic 28 year career as well as the end result of BRIGADE #1 which is without a doubt my best work ever. I will not show any more than the dozen or so Brigade pages I've already pre-viewed as there should be some fresh surprises in store. The book will ship out early November and you will have the only physical copies of Brigade until it is released as an event in 2016. Bloodstrike had to come first and Bloodstrike #1 is on high demand and completely sold out. Your copies and variants for Brigade #1 will be exclusive to you only for at least 7 months if not longer.

The Brigade Trade/HC will be collecting Bloodstrike #1-3 and Brigade #0-2. That will ship in early 2016, and the zero issue is completed and will be exclusive to the trade.

I'm happy to refund the money to the 6 supporters who have requested and will process all refunds when I've returned from my travels. I'm on the road until New York Comic Con concludes.

Thank you again for all the enthusiastic support! If you have glimpsed Brigade #1 you know the passion on the pages. A digital PDF will ship to you prior to your physical copies being shipped so you will know that the book is on its way!

Also surveys that have not gone through will be re-sent in the next few days, watch the mail box!!

    Rob!

I have a kickstarter that is out right now that could appreciate some support! I've also supported a fair share as well. I am rooting for the indie creators!
