Superwoman #7 - Spoilers

Basically at this point the two most likely ideas are that the two Supermen are the still-split Superman Red/Blue incarnations. The idea being that it'll be retconned to reveal they never actually remerged by that story's end. Or, they're the same man from different time periods due to various time space continuum shenanigans. Both ideas perpetuate though that both incarnations are "real" and that they will fuse back together into one when things are set straight.

But these two theories have a leg up on virtually any other at this stage of the game.

That's a long time for a thread to hang. All these post-CIE characters come from Zero Hour, right? That's 1994 in real time. The S-blu, S-red storyline is from 1998. So this would actually represent the N52 manifestations (unless the characters were pulled from the event that led to Flashpoint, even though they weren't involved), which haven't officially been covered at all, other than an Easter egg that showed up in a display case. So it seems kind of a stretch. But I like it.
