Default Reading order for the Noob Spidey reader?

Where to start in the 80s?

Having all the issues from ASM, Spectacular, Web of........

What is a good order for them, just read them from release dates?

Right now I am starting around May of 1984, about when Web of Spider-Man came out.

I was going to start with Clone Saga II in 1994 but decided to go back a bit further.

If you're interested in the 80s, I'd go back further. Roger Stern's run on Amazing Spider-Man is one of the best in the title's history, and starts some of the big storylines (the Black Cat relationship, the return of Mary Jane, the Hobgoblin saga, a rift between Peter and May.) That begins with Amazing Spider-Man #224.

Around that time Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan have a good run on Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man, starting with #62. That run includes the introductions of Cloak and Dagger, as well as the Owl/ Octopus war.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets
