DC Comics equivalent to Deadpool?

I'd say Deadpool is Marvel's equivalent to Deathstroke. You know, since Deathstroke came first and Deadpool is so obviously based on him.

I think it depends on what you're looking for.

Deadpool is a parody of Deathstroke so of course there are similarities.
Ambush Bug is indeed closer in personality.
If you want fun and popular, you've got Harley Quinn.
But personally, I'd go with Lobo. He's an over-the-top parody of Wolverine, he's just as violent and crazy as Deadpool, he is easily recognizable...

Undoubtedly. Both are silly, violent, slapstick characters that occasionally break the fourth wall and occasionally have more serious stories as well, in addition to the points you bring up. Ambush Bug is definitely wackier and more fourth-wall breaking, but not nearly as popular. (And, in my opinion, an unfunny relic.) I'd compare Bug more to someone like The Tick or Howard the Duck than Deadpool.
