it's just weird to me that she mentioned it then and there hasn't been a follow-up conversation. Hydra infiltration is a big deal; like worse than a skrull invasion. you can just wholesale slaughter skrulls. what are they going to do against other humans with opposing political beliefs? come to think of it, I'm going back to my original belief that Misty is Hydra (or Secret Empire-affiliated). she never did reveal the identity of her handler. and she has worked her way into Sam's life. she could be a double (triple?) agent.

what does that say about misty's position on black panther's harlem team?

I've seen some speculation that Lady Hydra is the original Viper/Ophelia Whatzerface. I don't personally agree with this speculation. but it's valid; nonetheless. I think that we can all agree that it's the woman shown in the reworked Steve Rogers flashback; the woman who recruits his mother into Hydra. the woman's name is Elisa Sinclair. but the thinking is that this is an alias for an existing character. I'd rather it be a new character. but, for the sake of speculation, could it be Deidre Wentworth (Superia)? just as out of left field a choice as Viper. but, physically, she does kind of look like her. she is part of Captain America's rogues gallery. and the current one is actually from an alternate reality; where she masqueraded as a kind of Captain Americaesque character. just haven't seen her around in awhile; not since that Secret Avengers story where she sat on A.I.M's high counsel. of people I could see having a motive for manipulating Steve, Superia has one of the strongest motivations.

I think for me the entire speculation at least on my part is because of Ophelia sarkissian's long established history over the decades as both Madame hydra and viper that it would make sense why she is infact the woman we see from the flashbacks Elisa Sinclair who indoctrinated and corrupted Steve as a hydra agent after killing his mother when they tried to leave which is also I assume the same woman we also see on the of the free comic book day issue of secret empire.

Wow, looking at the May solicitations, it will become very expensive to follow this crossover. Does anyone know what titles will be essential and have effect with the main series to get and which only lovely tie in?

I would like to follow it, but only the titles that really connect directly with the event.

We'll probably find out closer to the release, but it seems like both Captain America books, Sam Wilson & Steve Rogers, are the most obvious ones that'll be important to read. Secret Warriors and U.S.Avengers also seem they'd be important too. The rest of them, mainly the cosmic and space characters, we'll have to wait and see how much of an impact they make on the event.

seems that she's just Elisa Sinclair. and I think Ophelia's long established history kind of works against her, here. I don't think that Spencer intended the character to be familiar to anyone. Viper's never been this patient before, either.
