Punisher has always been the odd fit in Marvel. Sure there have been anti heroes before but on Punisher level. In truth he is much better off in a Max series than the 616. Sure it takes away the team ups but seeing as how most of his guest spots are hero vs hero stories I'm okay with his history being erased from 616. He's much better off in MAX titles.

That's why I've always thought that Frank's interaction with the mainstream Marvel U should be kept to a bare minimum, like Spiderman, Daredevil and maybe Captain America. All of that 'angel' crap and Frankencastle (seriously?) does nothing but diminish the character's uniqueness and dignity. Unfortunately they keep plugging him into these stories and worlds he really has no place in at all.

Wow, that's quite the count. I wouldn't have suspected it to be that high.

I should do a count to see how many he killed in Rucka's run and in the current series.
