Looks like they're just hanging out or it's Kitty recruiting Rachel from her retirement.
Not much of a retirement as Rachel was dragged back a few times already and she didn't even get a Boy/Girlfriend during her 8+month time away from the X-Men. Must really have been lonely, especially watching the world go down the gutter in an empty house/apartment.
