Did Gambit and Mystique have sex in Peter Milligan's run?

Well, I sent Milligan a message on his website asking him if Gambit and Mystique had sex.

He responded

It was a while ago, but as I remember I think I intended to give the impression that off screen, so to speak, these - and a few other x-men characters - had carnal knowledge of each other. But I have a dirty mind, and I’m always trying to get the characters I write into bed with SOMEONE.

I asked permission to repost his response here, and he responded,

Yews, but add this. As I said, it was a long time ago. But clearly if it’s not obvious in the comic whether they did or did not have sex, I wanted at least some kind of ambiguity.

It makes more sense if this was all part of her plan for Messiah Complex: She knew her actions would push Gambit onto Apocalypse's side, and then onto Sinister's side so she'd have an ally when she joined the Marauders to save Rogue.

Well that's because in his long written history, Magneto has been ,for the most part, a monk only having been alluded to engaging in sexual activity by way of having grown children... It wasn't until super fan, and typically great writer, Mike Carey shoehorned sexuality into his character as he walked out the Marvel front doors, were we privileged to witness such a thing.

As for Mystique... While such a elaborate hoax would have worked on me hook line and sinker, Gambit already said he didn't and if he did Mystique would have surely used that to wedge a divide between him and Rogue which was her purpose then and when she brought Pulse into the picture. So unless he boned her brains out to the point of amnesia, no, Gambit did not have sexual relations with that woman. No matter how large her breasts were. Thank you, Mr. Larocca.
