I am going to congratulate Shalla Bal for her (?) honesty and adherence to exact voting procedures. It's a great character to stick to your guns when it's only 360 seconds between you and victory.

Also up for congratulations to Scott Taylor for a cover which combines two of my favorite things: counting and attractive women. The cover choice reminds me of a song...



As for what I've learned this week, the captain (am I doing OK with this talk about myself in the third person thing?) has learned that to win this regaled and elegant contest, one must put forth their best effort every week. Unless of course a cheap joke is staring you ibn your face.

In any case, I doubt the CBR folks will be at your house with torches and pitchforks, if you do, but do you really want to pick a contest where Spidey and two frog men would work as an entry?

Kudos to Celtic Batman for the previous mention as well as his alluding to the song first.

I guess it's OK as long as the deadline hasn't passed. It's hard to keep up with multiple time zones to consider etc.
It's almost like we need an official clock person to post a "time's up" message

My concern with people changing their votes hours later is that people may be "market timing"...they can see who's in the lead, or who's tied, and then by changing their vote they can affect the race or even determine the winner.
Personally I'm not a fan of changing votes, esp. not after so many hours have lapsed ... but I guess there's no system block against it, so people will do it if the mood strikes them. Oh well, c'est la vie. Looking forward to seeing what Scott Taylor has in store for us in terms of a new contest
