I have not loved Superman comics this much in a long, long time. Superdad is the best thing to happen to Superman since the 90's.

I like Superman and he can be anything he wants. He works just fine as a single man or as a husband and father. They should have done it better though. The way in which they introduced Jon was really crappy. It also opens the door for retcons and lots of nonsense in a few years. I'm still waiting for the whole rebirth/reborn nonsense to end so I can get back into the books with a clean slate. Then I'll pretend it never happened.

Yes, he feels the icy touch of fear, but he is not cowed. He is Superman!"

I don't know about that. Jon has proven to be incredibly popular, along with this direction for Superman. I mean, Damian was intended to die within a year when he was introduced and now look at him.

I'm sorry for you and the creator of the theme but the children of Superman and Batman: Jonathan Samuel Kent and Damian Wayne have won a lot of fans around the world so they will stay alive and continue in the comics for many more years

Yes, Superman should always prioritise the greater good, but hey, he's not perfect even though some of you here desparately want him to be.

In a theoretical choice between saving his family and saving the world, I think a Superman who initially wants to save his family but then realises he has to do the greater good is more interesting than a robotic Superman who always does the right thing immediately with no hesitation.

It's ok for Superman to act somewhat irrational in the face of emotional distress. What makes him a hero is the ability to overcome that and do the right thing.
    +1 great stuff.

Well, let's not go nuts yet. He's only existed for a little under a year (in the main Superboy capacity at least). Not to mention this entire direction. We know in comics things can change pretty quickly. I'm not saying it will, I'm just saying its still in its infant stages and we need a great deal more of consistent quality to consider this something that's long haul bound. Especially considering we're talking about the Superman line, one which has not, by any stretch of the imagination, been known for consistency in the last decade+ like the Batman line has. Personally, I have a feeling it will last. I'm just not counting on it just yet.
