Thanks for the heads up! I've been catching up on books I've been meaning to read such as Superior Foes, Spider-Woman, and Vision. I was hoping Steve and Sam Cap books would be up, but only a few are in the library.

You have to wait at least 6 months after they were published. Although I don't know how consistent they are in enforcing that. Some series may take longer. Has anyone noticed this?

One thing I was surprised to find out is that sometimes a TPB will be included in Marvel Unlimited. Has anyone else noticed this?

The link in the article doesn't work though. It says issue not found.

Are we sure this is true?

I can't find it on MU at all? I figured they would advertise the hell otu of it if true?

May have been posted too early? Or perhaps Marvel pulled access because they intended day and date instead of 2 weeks ahead? The issue shows up on my iPad but it says error downloading when I try to select it.

As I'm already down to just 2 Marvel titles, posting issues on Marvel Unlimited 2 weeks ahead will likely increase my purchasing as that allows me to sample the new issues and then buy the ones I'd like to collect.

Of course, it could also be that someone messed up and posted the new issues on MU before they're supposed to be available in 6 months.

Looks like it was a mistake of some sort.

It almost certainly was a mistake but your reasoning about collecting things you have already read is very interesting. If Marvel ever adopt such a model in the future let me be the first person to congratulate you on your foresight.

Funny you should say foresight considering it's fairly commonplace outside of the traditional US comic market.

I've bought a number of cassette tapes and CDs after hearing songs on the radio. I buy DVDs and/or Blu-rays of favorite TV shows.

For Japanese anime and manga, it's pretty standard practice to watch/read stuff via unlicensed fansubs and fan scanlations, and then purchase the DVD/Blu-ray and manga once they're licensed (and yep, I've bought $300+ collector's edition Blu-ray sets). Now, there's even Crunchyroll for anime. Nothing quite as good for manga that's official but iirc, Kodansha releases chapters piecemeal for $1-2 (near simultaneous with Japan) and there's the $1 Weekly Shonen Jump anthology from Viz.

There are popular webcomics that have taken to KickStarter to publish print editions.
