Things to Remember...


1. Yes, Marvel purposefully overships

2. You can rank them by money instead of units... which completely circumvents the issue and gives you a more accurate representation of what SOLD... which is what matters.

3. We truly have no real idea on how Marvel, DC, ect sell due to Diamond not being the end all be all anymore. So, discuss what you can but be cognizant that no one knows the full picture.

1. Amazing Spider-Man
2. Venom
3. Unworthy Thor
4. Spider-Man (miles)
5. Mighty Thor
6. Spider-Man/Deadpool
7. OML
8. Avengers
9. Invinsible Iron Man
10. Steve Rogers
11. Deadpool
12. Doctor Strange
13. Uncanny X-Men
14. Black Panther

Well if you take the small sample size from BleedingCool of what store owners are saying on the front lines, in the U.S., they are all reporting that Marvel's new books are not selling as well as DC & even some Image titles currently. Some have said there is a demand only for back issues of Marvel comics, but these are people seeking out the characters when they are in their sterotypical roles & from the MCU and Marvel movies.

Given Marvel is already rumored to be going to be doing less "politics" in their future comics after Secret Empire, you could take that as code that they want to get back to basics with some of their line.

All the market share tactics they use to fudge the numbers doesn't change the Dollar share for comics actually sold. Marvel knows these figures. We can only hope it will lead to a new direction for the line.

we know for a fact that Marvel is selling better than DC lol. Its right there.

The issue really is... is Marvel selling AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY. Meaning are they reaching their full potential of sales across their line. and THAT is a more interesting discussion that Bleeding Cool things that are 100% not true because WE HAVE THOSE NUMBERS.

It is a good book too. It is a shame.

And it supposedly has another arc coming so... wowza. They must be making enough off digital to keep it alive or something.

My random thoughts:

• Aren't the sales for Avengers very low for... Avengers?
• Unstoppable Wasp debuts at a much lower number than even Hellcat which has awful sales. This is the best news I got today.
• Uncanny Avengers 19 had the EXACT SAME number of shipped issues as UA 18. LOL. And the number is good so I'm happy!
• U.S.A. Avengers won't be around for long with those numbers.
• Hawkeye and Gamora going down fast as expected.
• Why are the sales for Ms. Marvel low now? I thought ti was doing well?
• Ouch at Nova. Ryder didn't really bring much fans to the book then? Were they all reading the previous run already?
• Ghost Rider hype completely died down apparently. Same for Gwenpool.
• Guardians solo books sales are just absurdly low at this point.
• Feels like Occupy Avengers is going down fast.
• Prowler is cancelled, right?
• Mosaic. xD
• Moongirl doing as awful as ever.

Unless the official sale rankings on Comixology and Marvel Comics app are lying, Mosaic is doing just as bad digitally as it's doing on print.

Ms Marvel is probably being buoyed by digital so im not bothered by that.

But looking at those rankings, it doesn't seem that Marvel overshipped ALL their titles in January.

Yeah I mean it looks like they stopped overshipping several titles, most notably GLA and Mosaic.
