Not like the Amazons were charging her with their weapons at the ready or anything
Ok I may have used the wrong word in malicious, because yes she is that, but being malicious is not the same as being evil. She also threatened to harm an unborn baby for no reason until Diana drove her back with a sharp (get it?) rebuke.
Yeah. She's pretty malicious.
And let's not even start on the whole thing where she started a devastating war that resulted in a genocide of an entire people just because she wasn't invited to a party.
The problem is that Diana has alot of enemies who have only appeared once or twice in the last 30 years or more, most of which are without any really memorable stories to their names, just a tingle of nostalgia about them... so it doesn't take that much to stand out. Like, why should someone like Dr. Poison or Giganta be on this list if we ignore the nostalgia factor? She doesn't deserve to be in Diana's Top 15 right now, perhaps. But I'd love to see Queen of Fables become a serious villain for Diana precisely because of what you said here.
Just without the visual or emotional impact. Diana and Superman trundeled on afterwards like it never happened, the only ones really affected by it all where the Young Justice kids who scuttled the team because of it. Unlike the death of Artemis where we had the death, Diana's grief, the emotional aftermath when she confronted Hippolyta and finally the return in Requiem.
