I enjoyed this book so much. I seriously hope it stays as good as first issue was.

So was this comic following something or just starting from a random point with the character?

It follows his last appearance in Cosmic Odyssey in which he died.

Thanks I read it years ago and never would have remembered that. A follow up to 1988? That's pretty nuts. Another reason for me to buy a new copy of that trade.

Issue 3 was ok. We got to see what happened to Forager after Cosmic Odyssey. I think they went a bit too heavy on the surreal aspects of the story. Its still written as if it's taking place in one of Sandman's dreams. Still overall an enjoyable comic. Always love seeing Atlas.

I don't think so at this point, but we don't know what's officially in and out in terms of the main dcu,I think the majority of the young animal imprint books do their own thing, but it should all become a bit clearer after the Doomsday Clock hopefully.

The Young Animal titles seem to be in a similar state as DC's "New Direction" titles before they morphed into Vertigo. It seems like they're part of the larger continuity, but work just as easily as their own little pocket universes.

I JUST read 1-3! I am so behind in my reading, I guess I should eat more fiber so I can alot more time for sitting and reading. ANYWAY... great fun book, really enjoy all the classic Kirby characters and look forward to Manhunter. This book reminds me of Giffen's classic Ambush Bug for some reason. I guess the fun tone and how it is seeped in DC classic history.
I have no beef with Vegans
