I still haven't read any of Allie's writing, save that short in the Winter Special.
Long term lurker new member so hi guys!

I really enjoyed Allie's stories in Hell on Earth (he did write some of his own) so I think he will be a good fit. Sapien drags a bit but the good arcs are great and once it kicks into gear it never stops so call me interested.

It's still #148. The just want to make it clear it's the beginning of a cycle. My guess is the ongoing numbering will return to the front cover after a few arcs.

If the name of the new cycle is "The Devil you Know", what is the name of the first story arc?

    Dunno.

I like the implication of this title, which suggests Varvara is one of two devils. It's better the devil you know than the devil you don't. Is there a second devil?

Read the synopsis for the first issue... this portion has me intrigued.

"Now Liz Sherman leads a crew through monster-infested ruins on the most important rescue mission of her life."

I kinda hope Kate may still be alive in the ruins of BPRD headquarters. Wishful thinking I imagine.

    Maybe Pluto will show up?
I don't know if Hellboy's sister is still alive after the fall of Pandemonium!

There is an arc title, but they're keeping it a secret for now.

Well Mike Mignola is apparently done with Hellboy, right? Maybe the devil we know is Mr. Boy himself, and Varvara is the devil we don't. If Mike really is moving on from the Hellboy world, and the world is going to end regardless of the death of that first Ogdru Jahad and all the Ogdru Hem going inert, then the beast of the apocalypse may still be the cause, right?

The googles on Agent Howard's head on the Mignola variant cover look kind of like Hellboy's shaved off horns.

Just saw that interview of Scott Allie in previewsworld's news page :

Can't wait to see BPRD back with the art of Lawrence Campbell.

This is extremely promising for me. Abe improved extremely when he got focused and he sounds like he's kicking it into gear.

I'm very happy to see Ashley Strode being important as well.
