Sort of like the effects of the Superboy-Prime punch?

When I proposed here that the JSA should be brought to the present as young characters, some people objected that there was no room for them, and that doing this would make our world "Clutter Earth." I had never heard that term and was taken aback by it. I believe now that this was a Hail Mary attempt to preserve the Earth 2 title. It was like saying that there's "no room" in Marvel for both the X-Men and the Avengers. Of course there's room, and I don't notice anybody talking about "Clutter Earth" now. Once the JSA gets here, I'm certain you won't hear it again.

How many Flashes are there now in this world? And there's "no room" for Jay, the ORIGINAL Flash? He'd clutter things up? Come on.

If you had never heard that term before to describe post crisis DC earth then you either hadnt payed attention or were not involved with a lot of comic forums. This complain was common for years. Also the only time the JSA has actually been a big seller for decades was exactly when it was not just full of a bunch of young guys but a mix between new and old. Comparing the situation of avengers/x-men with JSA/JLA is foolish since its simply not the same. The JLA was based on basicly the same concept as the JSA, and even had members or codenames in common, whereas the X-men and Avengers fullfilled different roles in their universe. Bringing back the JSA on the same earth as the JLA just to fill it up with 20 something year old like the JLA would be pointless.

Its not that there is not room for Jay, its that there is no reason to have yet another young guy running around. We already have two flashes and a kid flash, we dont need yet another young person with the same name and powers.

Again I have no interest in seeing young Jay Garrick. His age is an essential part of the character.

Are you ignoring the possibility that people who didn't like the New 52 "Earth 2" book didn't want that saved, but would have preferred a situation similar to how it was pre-CoIE where all the JSA had been on their own, similar but separate Earth (which had been referred to as "Earth-2"/"Earth-Two" back in the Silver and Bronze Ages)?
