    Default Country & Western Appreciation

I'm sure people must be interested. The only reason I didn't start one myself is cuz my knowledge of that genre isn't as extensive as the other music threads I did, but I know people are into it. I'm hoping someone who's a true fan will start a "classic" country music thread...?

The greatest country song you'll ever see!

...okay, I don't know anything about music. I just like old cowboy movies.

And a "classic" thread really shouldn't kick off without something from these 3 gentlemen: Merle Haggard

The Hag has been my favorite country singer for over 42 years now and Mama Tried is my favorite song of his to sing at karaoke bars, FWIW.

This tribute album Asleep at the Wheel's tribute to Bob Wills and the Texas Playboysis one of the best I have ever heard. They have so many great guests singing along with them including George Staight, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Suzy Bogguss, Marty Stuart, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and many others.
