What are some of your favorite lesser known DC characters?

It's crazy that arc both put her on the map, and made her comic poison.







Simone had some fun with her in her Secret Six run, although I think it's cause she knew she could eliminate her in the end.
Not sure about her status now?
-If I'm not mistaken she had a Green Arrow cameo?
Any good?

Ray Palmer- The Atom. While this character is featured in Legends of Tomorrow, that is pretty much in name only because the characterization is so awful. Perhaps he will be featured at least in the comics on a more regular basis one of these days.

Jack Knight- Starman. This series is probably my all time favorite series and he got a perfect ending, so I’m not anxious to see him return.

Courtney Whitmore- Stargirl! Definitely looking forward to her own series coming to the DC streaming service. She is such an underrated character. I hope she will make her return to the comics soon.

Jay Garrick- The Flash. My favorite Flash! I hope he will make his return to the comics soon. I also love that John Wesley Shipp got to bring this character to life in the television series. I could add TONS of JSA characters because they are all, to me, more special than any Justice League character.

Adam Strange- a very underrated character that if done right could have a spectaculor series.

Saint Walker The Blue Lanter- my favorite lantern that is not green.

Another is Cisco Ramon Vibe, who although a secondary character, features prominently in the TV series,

What about the Gray Ghost they could definatley work him into JSA canon, make him the Batman analogue of the era.

Y'Know? Grey Ghost would make a great Roaring '20s predecessor to the early heroes like The Crimson.

According to her DC wiki entry, her very first appearance anywhere was in The Batman Adventures Annual #1 (1994).

Ibis the Invisible- Daniel Khalifa (He was a protege of the original ibis and made very few appearances)
Kid Eternity- Christopher Freeman (He s freddy freeman brother and has had multiple origin changes. He was on teen titans but was depowered and wasnt written very will imo)
Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr- they are compared or put up against the superman family or often compared to them and very few people have written them well

The original Losers.

I always liked them, but I started to love them when I realized reading Who's Who in the DCU, that its members were all "refugees" from discontinued backup features in DC's (once numerous) lineup of War comics.

That was just a neat meta-concept, and way before such shenanigans were cool in comics. Seeing them serve as a launching pad for Cooke's The New Frontier brought a smile to my face.

Yet there is a streak of fandom who can't stand to see her even mentioned, wants her irredeemably vilified and erased from existence.

Fandom is gonna have to grow a pair if she comes back again. She has potential to be so much more than what she was portrayed as years ago. I just want her to have her own mythos established. Percy was suppose to bring her back but never got around to it.
