Which comic runs have been the worst on the X-books? I know Chuck Austen on Uncanny is generally regarded as one of the worst. What else?

Jeff Lemire's Extraordinary X-men.
Brian Michael Bendis' Uncanny X-men and All new X-men.
Matt Fraction's Uncanny X-men.
Ed Brubaker stuff.
Stan Lee.
That's all I remember being pretty bad.
Matt Fraction - a boring misogynist fairytale with terrible art
Chuck Austen was pretty bad but had an entertainment factor to it.
Lemire was weak but is so forgettable that I doubt I will mention him if a thread like this pops up in 5 years. Alan Davis' run was mindnumbingly bad.
Everyone has already voiced my opinion. Only other one I'd throw into the hat is Grant Morrison.

I have a pretty low opinion of both volumes of Wolverine and the X-Men just because it was an X-Kids book disguised as a flagship. Aaron at least seemed to know what he was doing with it, though.
Bendis, Bendis, Bendis.
Didn't like Morrison either but Bendis is absolute trash.

SCOTT SUMMERS AND EMMA FROST DESERVED BETTER.
People have already mentioned Bendis and Morrison. I want to toss out Warren Ellis. His Generation X was weak at best and his X-force was abominable.
He brought in his pet character Pete Wisdom and has the rest of the team instantly fall in line with the guy talking about how he was the one that really gave them purpose and opened their eyes. His run was also "blessed" with horrible character resigns and the worst artwork the series had ever had. Yes. Ever.

I'm gonna go with Morrison. He just about destroyed the X-Men.
Austen and kinda Morrison I hated how Morrison made magneto xorn and basically had xorneto kill half a million I think it was innocent human civilians during Planet X as much as people didn't like the messy retconning that was done to separate xorn and magneto from being the same person it was ultimately the right choice because otherwise I don't think magneto would've ever been able to live that done.
But look at where scarlet witch is so maybe he actually could've survived and became an antihero even if the xorn thing wasn't retconned.
By leaps and bounds it's Grant Morrison X-Men run -- not because he killed Jean Grey -- because he had the audacity to claim in an interview that he brought the Phoenix back when it had retuned well before he put pen to paper.
