Two issues in I just dropped the book. Couldn't cotton onto his humour. Felt like a huge let down from what came before it.

Oh and I forgot to add Matt Fraction as writer I didn't like. His run was marginally better than bad fan fiction.

    Chuck Austen. The absolute worst

I'm surprised no one mentioned Humphries. He had a cast full of potential, great costume designs, great artists. But it was soo bad.

Abnett and Lanning's New Mutants was terrible. The villans were boring, the plot weak and overly stretched, and Blink hasn't recovered yet after that awkward characterization.

When was Joe Kelly on the main X-books? Or are we counting Deadpool?

    Jason Aaron.

At least Chuck Austen gave us Juggernaut's redemption.

He was on adjectiveless in the late/mid 90s, just after OZT but before Davis' run. I think he was responsible for bringing Kitty, Colossus, and Nightcrawler back to the main books after Excalibur was cancelled.

While Claremont's late 90s run was bad, things were still salvageable and there wasn't any changes that were too drastic. With Morrison, he introduced too much weirdness and all that classroom/teaching/drug using/womb on womb violence nonsense... that was the point of no return IMO.

I'm gonna go with Morrison. He just about destroyed the X-Men.
There's no "just about". He did.

He pushed things to the point where marvel had no choice but to pull back and they still haven't recovered from it.

Aside from the Scott/Emma/Jean thing, what did he do that needed to be changed?
