I vaguely remember a mutant from an X-Men novel series. Her power was long fingernails, and IIRC, her teeth would grow long when she opened her mouth?
Always seemed crappy for day-to-day life. I think Wolverine knocked her out and broke her teeth?

The Morlocks, such as Caliban, Sunder, Annalee, Tar Baby, Tommy,
A lot of them have mutations that made them look deformed, monstrous and strange.
That's why they live underground beneath New York City.
The only Morlock with a relative happy ending is Leech who has joined the Future Foundation.
