I agree, I hate to see it dropping every month. I think the title made a crucial error in telling the same story from different POVs for three out of the four issues. The decompression has just killed it, we could have had several issues devoted to nice one-in-done adventures with the family (Spider-Girl used to concentrate on that)
I don't want RYV to fail, I'd like to see it promoted better. Outside of art samples from the artists on twitter, this book is'nt brought up at con appearances or any other such areas, and that to me is criminal. They could even have plugged it at Emerald Comic Con this weekend, especially when Joe Kelly was asked by that upset reader about his use of Mephisto in Spider-Man/Deadpool, Just direct them to RYV if there are upset readers.

This basically proves two long-speculated theories:

1) ASM will always be more highly-regarded than any other Spider-Man comic, regardless of content;
2) Alternate universe titles will always be regarded as the red-headed stepchild, regardless of content

Comic collectors are creatures of habit.

I agree to some extent, though I think it will read very well in TPB.

Does Marvel ever promote anything beyond new #1:s, be they events, new titles or relaunches?

Well, there's perhaps also when the creative team changes but the numbering stays, like Old Man Logan. But beyond that I've not seen anything at least.

Yeah, although it didn't help that book had 3 months straight of just filler holiday stories.

Amazing how the sales of Clone Conspiracy 5 were low - for a Spider Man event, that's next to nothing. Funnily enough, the main event has again sold less than the tie-in.

RYV is gonna get cancelled.
Why? Cuz I've been wanting the book for awhile, I really like it... and I just can't have nice things so its gonna be gone. T~T;

Hopefully it sticks around despite sales. (Maybe it'll sell a lot of trades?)
If not, I hope it ends well and that the upcoming Spectacular is good.
