When hr eas first introduced he was frustrated and at odds with everything he was bring taught. Which led to him being dangerous and acting out.
He got brought back as a brat performing Bart Simpson antics.

He could have been interesting but they have just destroyed the character to the point where if he's in a book I won't read it. They should have just made Xavier's kid or something. And really they should have left him dead
Both versions of him are obnoxious idiots who should have been dumped in comicbook limbo ages ago.
For some reason though he seems to be the one X-teen that writers can't stop themselves from using.

I do think Quire has potential to be interesting. It would be good to have someone around to point out that Xavier's method of equality hasn't been working. The problem when they brought him back was that they ignored his realization at the end of Riot at Xavier's that Magneto's methods were just as ineffectual. Quire shouldn't be wearing ______ was right t-shirts, he should be saying that everyone has been wrong, and trying to find a better way of achieving mutant equality. It would also be helpful if writers made it a bit more clear that his brash behavior and attitude are a defense mechanism.
And don't forget---he not only got rejected by a deceased Cuckoo's rotting corpse, who preferred to remain that way rather than be with him, but he got reduced to goo and kept in a specimen jar in a lab!
Yes, goo!!
Poor lil guy. Lol.
