Default Wonder Woman Animated Movie gets R-Rated cut

    http://www.cbr.com/wonder-woman-r-rated-directors-cut/

Thoughts? I probably have nothing good to say so I'll stay quiet.

Let's hope they're right! What a waste that would be.

I'm intrigued, though, since we heard nothing more on the animated WW project they had in mind.

According to one of the articles, I read it's going to be a JL based one.

Bleh, I hope they forget about the 2009 animated film like I have. How can they even make it any bloodier? We already had decapitations and dismemberments.

It's not about 'deserve' it's about what you believe. And I believe in Love.

If this is true maybe we will be lucky enough to make a squeal if done well. I mean it looks like there are many new scenes with Hippolyta and the Amazons.

I'm not sure how eager I am for an R-rated version of this movie. I mean, it had its strengths, but it was already unpleasant enough watching Diana kill people in that movie. Not sure how eager I am to see and even MORE graphic portrayal of Diana's killing ways.

On the other hand, this is a good point, though. If the movie does well, years after it came out, that makes a good argument to DC that they should feature Diana in more animated features.

Although, DC Superhero Girls is also starting to make movies, and Diana hasn't killed anyone in THOSE yet!
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Wait she only killed the monsters didn't she? Also she was left no choice so it's not like she went all crazy.

So they're just restoring scenes that never left the cutting room floor in order to preserve the intended PG-13 rating? I guess that's fine with me. I thought the original movie was overall pretty good, and I never really felt that it needed a greater amount and intensity of action.

I just hope that WB's intent isn't just to try to get more R-rated animated films out there.

Right? This seems like a "we're too lazy and uninterested to make a new WW film, so here's a 'remastered' version of the old one since the live action film is coming out!"

And then cue four more Batman animated movies.

Four more (most likely) crappy Batman movies, so we can't even get quality on that front either.
