New Astonishing X-Men

We still don't have an Uncanny X-Men. Polaris, Magik, Monet, Moonstar, Beast, Iceman, Havok, Emma, and Forge are all still unaccounted for (or have just background roles) . Not that I see Emma and Havok joining any teams for quite some time again, if ever, and I still think Monet is the unrevealed character in Blue. If this were titled Uncanny X-Men I might could see it. But it's Astonishing, and it just feels weird to not have an UXM running minus a few months here or there. I still smell something coming.

Good team but Soule is the writer do not know how some will react to this.
At least in me it creates conflicting feelings.

Oddly enough I am eating a cookie right now. And yeah, while there's characters I'm wanting in books, I'm just also pointing out that there's enough missing or background characters out there to still make another roster.

There are far too many popular X-characters to have them all in books at this point.

That's not enough star power. Popular-enough characters to build around one or two big names, but these are all roster fillers IMO. They kind of stacked the decks with Gold, Blue and now AST (vol3?).

Emma has lost her @#$$
Magik is a 2nd level draw/ cult fan-fav thats getting a movie
Dazzler is cult fan-fav
Havok needs rehab
Forge is just comfortable
M is a comic book fan fav, not much MASS appeal (casual seeing on a cover a know who they)
Iceman is cool, but no one has flocked to read him last I checked
Beast is polarizing
Moonstar is a fan fav and getting a movie

Not a single member of the main X-Men in the lot of them. All the really recognizable ones have been clustered together already outside of Beast, who again, is polarizing.

I'm just annoyed old man logan is in so many team books, Laura really should be in gold instead of him. Also when did bishop get his arm back or is this a bishop from before he went crazy

Honestly, I hope this is it. My wallet definitely agrees with me. If every popular mutant was accounted for we'd have like 15 team books.

There's always a contrarian... There's literally 5 Team Books and only overlap is OML because Wolverines always gonna do that.

How many people were crying Where's Bishop been? Boo hoo why can't Gambit be in a book? Why is Psylocke getting left out? Why is Rogue an Avenger etc etc

I actually like the roster but Soule on writer? He wrote Death of Wolverine which was good and I'm enjoying his Daredevil run but he also did IvX and let's stop talking about IvX because even typing IvX makes me want to stab something

Magik's absence is absurd though. Especially with the continued use of Fantomex, Mystique and Sabretooth.
