Very cool. Just wanted to make sure it got it's due!

so are you only using stuff that's still canon? Or are you cool with going thru in order and including the rebooted stuff?

Like pre-crisis, post crisis, new 52, rebirth and so on...or are you trying to make a timeline of stuff that still "counts" in the superman lore?

EDIT: If post-crisis...you could start with Byrne.

Yes mostly the important story beats and moments that "still count". I'm cool with including retconned stuff if it makes sense. Like with the New 52, the retcon itself is actually part of the canon.

Do you have "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" in the mix? That is basically the "end" of everything before the Byrne reboot kicks in...and it's a top 5 Superman story. Alan Moore and Curt Swan. Should be able to find a cheap TPB version that you could include in a bind.

One thing you could even do is come up with an intro..."The story so far...." type of thing...print it and insert up front then go with the Man of Tomorrow story and into more modern stuff.

You could even do it as a timeline with images...just include all the golden age/silver age highlights here:

    First appearance
    Intro of Kryptonite
    Intro of Lex

and so on...and so on....You could do that regardless of what actual books you use as your starting point.

That's a cool idea. Like a couple of scrapbook, intro pages of the pre-crisis Superman.

Exactly...use art some some short paragraphs to tell his story...then maybe do Whatever Happened...(the Moore story) and go into the post-crisis from there.

This sketch was $180. The sketches I’ve gotten range from free to around $200.

That's more than it would cost to make the book.
I must be out of the loop, that sounds steep. Is it a time-thing or do some charge more?

In my experience, it depends on the artist. $180 is standard for a Nolan bust. He had already signed and done some free remarques for me at the show, and I was happy to pay the $180.

This Bane omnibus primarily features the art of Graham Nolan and David Finch. A 9x12” headsketch from Finch will be $350. I’m still debating on getting that done.

This is a bit of a niche-within-a-niche sort of question, but hopefully somebody has a mapping.

I will be making a Batman bind later in the year for his non-DC crossovers, like Marvel, IDW, Dark Horse etc. There are so many that I have to split them into two 20 year chuncks. A 1981-2000 bind & 2001-2020 bind.

I can only make the first one this year, so I have a current mapping. Can someone point out any I might have missed? It's tough to find a full list anywhere.

    The order goes:

Batman Vs. Hulk (The Monster and the Madman)
    Batman/Judge Dredd: Judgment on Gotham
    Batman Vs. Predator I
    Batman/Houdini
    Batman/Grendel '93 #1-2
    Batman/Judge Dredd: Vendetta in Gotham
    Batman Vs. Predator II
    Batman/Spawn #1-2
    Batman/Punisher #1-2
    Batman/Judge Dredd: Ultimate Riddle
    Spider-Man/Batman
    Batman/Captain America
    Bruce Wayne Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D
    Batman Vs. Captain America
    Batman/Grendel '96 #1-2
    Batman Vs. Aliens I
    Batman/Spider-Man
    Batman/Judge Dredd: Die Laughing
    Daredevil/Batman
    Batman Vs. Predator III
    Batman/Hellboy/Starman #1-2
    Batman/The Darkness
    Batman/Tarzan #1-4
    Batman/Daredevil

Those binds are super sleek and classy, well done.

Also, @Russ840, sorry I'm useless with fonts.
