The Good
-The art and double page spreads.
-Magneto killing the dinosaur King Kong style.
-Magneto's thought process, realizing his actions were a self-fulfilling prophecy, AND having a contingency plan for his death.
-When dying is part of your grand design... *slow clap*
-Elixir and Exodus! Or maybe Exodus was simply the transportation to get Elixir to Mags then Elixir goes off on his own. Exodus does say 'us' though...

The art, the contingency plan and Betsy kicking @$$ were high points for me.

The Bad
-I'm a bit confused as to what exactly Magneto did that prompted Psylocke to kill him.
-Bye, War Room X. We honestly didn't see enough of you.
-On a related note... Does WRX's destruction mean Ferris dead? He was a fun, snarky robot in his few appearances. The opposite to Cerebra, really.

I think it was Magneto knowing how Cyclops had really died and/or making plans with Emma without filling in everyone on all the details - that prompted Psylocke to want to kill Magneto.
She was pretty much on the road to attempting it anyway.
That may have been the straw that broke the camels back.

The Ugly
-Zero resolution to some of the plots raised in the series. What exactly is Archangel now? What about Monet's Emplate infestation? What exactly was Someday and who was behind it? I like closure.
-The karmic balance for Elixir resurrecting Mags was Exodus temporarily losing his wing thingees in one panel.

All those unresolved plot points are annoying.
I'm guessing the Archangel, Someday & Fantomex ones will get picked up in Astonishing X-Men.
Hate that the Monet one is just gonna be left there for someone else to potentially just make her the new Emplate.

The Verdict
-A weak final issue to a VERY strong but all too brief series.

Agreed, definitely a just about adequate finish to a really great run.

was exodus keeping tabs on mags like Betty and so was able to locate him because it really looked like otherwise he was just going to die a unglrious death ad he had no contingencies planned for this despite foreseeing this conflict. maybe he just hadn't thought psylocke would geninuely kill him as she herself was surprise that she had it on her.

it's weird how supportive people are of Psylocke casually killing someone for being deceptive. this is the woman that tried to seduce Cyclops when he was in a relationship.

I am guessing they were notified when War Room X exploded. Even when they popped in. Elixir said "you found him!?". If they were aware of it, why did he act surprised Exodus found him?

Again, I didn't read it that this was part of Magneto's ultimate plan. I think he planned on taking Betsy out.

This was a good issue but I have three points that are bothering me:

1- Magneto was jobbed again (IvX). Let's be real, Psylocke cannot beat Magneto like that. I guess he didn't want to kill her. Editorial?
2- Why did Psylocke wanted to kill Magneto so bad ? I mean really ?
3- Let's be real again. Psylocke has no credibility on the moral side. She did many bad things in the past. She's an hypocrite in this issue.

I think you're trying to read into things here. I never said I doubted it. I said it read like he planned for her to come and set a trap for her. I think Exodus finding him was something Exodus did. He was triggered somehow when War Room X blew up. I am.not going to argue the hypothetical of who can beat who. This is how I read it.

Exodus was in stasis. Elixir was in Xorn's refuge. To think that Exodus randomly got free and then went and got Elixir for of all people so they could go to the Savage Land randomly looking for Magneto? It's far easier to assume they were Mag's failsafe in case he lost to Psylocke. They were looking for him and finally found him, a mixture of surprise and questioning as to whether that thing in the water was really Mag's body.

Was Psylocke reading Mag's mind to make sure he died?

She got him with a sucker-play. Medusa popped her with some Marvel vs. Capcom drill-fist nonsense.

Can't say I found it believable that Betsy was any kind of a threat to Magneto. I also found her morality profoundly empty: Was this woman not a member of not one, but two X-force teams? Who's she to complain about Erik going down a morally grey road? I hate hypocrites.

She accused Erik of attempting to exterminate the Inhumans. "You were working with Emma!" Of course so was Storm and everyone else, but Nooooo, Magneto baaaaad. Bad writing or consistent Braddock nonsense?
