I don't think that cover is misleading. Sam isn't Cap during Secret Empire. Doesn't mean he won't retake the mantle after the event though, with Steve discredited and exposed as a traitor.

A beautifully done, if brutal and depressing, issue. Rage's fate here is a hard thing to watch and harder to accept. This is definitely going to push Sam to the breaking point.
Time will tell if Sam's time as Cap is really almost over but I'll add my voice to the chorus of those who think this is one of the finest books out there.

Finally, got around to reading this and I concur with everyone who said, this was a great issue, Nick Spencer is doing some brilliant work on this series.

Glad to see this book getting some love. Spencer's really been killing it. Sam just can not catch a break.
