They were great, honestly more excited for Doom Patrol than the Titans show.

Doom Patrol doesn't feel like they get enough content but when they do it's generally so good. Wish they got more to do.

I'd say folks can start with Morrison. You won't be completely lost(if that's what you are saying).

I don't think it will trip you up if you go back further after you read it.

You can jump straight in with Morrison. I think the previous writer, paul kupperberg, got some pieces in place at morrisons request so that his run was set up and ready to go as its own thing when he came on to the book. (If only all books worked like that....)

You can start anywhere, I personally would go with some Silver Age stuff.

Since you understand that there was an established team called "Doom Patrol" already and that Morrison's run starts in the middle of a title, it doesn't take much to figure it out if you were to start at his run (collected as "Crawling From the Wreckage.") - it's where I started as well!

Also, I'd say that if you're interested in the live-action version of the team (as well as the more current "Young Animal" series), Morrison's run is the place to start as his run has been the main source of inspiration for most of what has come after, the same way Claremont/Byrne's "X-Men" or Wolfman/Perez's "Teen Titans" has influenced much of what is being adapted onto the screen.

I thought BB and the doom patrol had a good show in titans and I'm interested in what their own show is gonna be about.
