Default Cover Contest March 29-April 4-LADDERS

Ok so Snakes last week, and when I think of snakes I think of the old Snakes and Ladders game, so this week's theme is covers featuring LADDERS* or other implements used to climb (ropes, stools, rope ladders, etc. etc. etc.).

Hmm I'll used the abbreviated version of the rules Shalla gave us last week.

Rules are simple (copied from my illustrious predecessors): Post only one cover, no complaining about other people's choices, and no voting until Midnight PST next Tuesday (or after Midnight PST next Wednesday).

just in case, the longer version...

Post One (& ONLY ONE) Cover that fits the theme of this Week's Contest!
Cover must be from a Published Comic Book or Collected Volume!
Covers must be Posted before Voting Begins!
Voting Begins 12 AM Tuesday 4/4and Runs Until 12 AM Wednesday 4/5 PST (3 AM EST)!
Vote by Posting the name in BOLD of the Poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most! A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to Count-The-Votes!
The Winner of the Contest is the Entry with the MOST Votes after the Voting-Period!
It's Okay to Discuss the Covers but if you Think Someone's Entry Doesn't Fit the Theme or Violates the Rules, you Don't need to Argue it in the thread, Simply Don't Vote for It!

Occasionally Voting will Result in a Tie! The Person Who Started the Thread and Thus will do the Counting that Week will Usually call for a TIE-Breaking Vote from Someone who has Not Yet Voted!
AFTER the Tie-Breaker Vote, Voting Ends and the Winner is Declared by The One Who Started the Thread (or assigned surrogate) and Thus will do the Counting!

    Have fun,

    -M

Does that include something like Mjonilr and high leaps?

This was tricky. I immediately thought of Mark Waid & Bryan Hitch's brilliant "JLA: Heaven's Ladder" oversized GN. For those who don't know it, it features aliens trying to make a ladder to heaven by stringing planets together. Problem is, the original printing had a beautiful wrap-around cover, with the actual ladder (or parts of it, as in planets) is on the back cover, but not the front. And while I found the front cover as well as the complete artpiece easy enough, I could not find the complete wrap-around cover as it was printed. So, here's the front cover and the art (both colored and b&w):

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

I hope this counts. My thought: Ladders aren't fixed, they are movable. It is clear that the lever moves everything around, so I think it counts.
