I imagine a lucky mook getting a shot between the eyes could do it, and this version of MM was able to hold his own against pre-retcon Beyonder. Unless he had some kind of self-preservation power that kicked in around that time.

Weaker versions of Magneto are more ferokinetic than straight up all magnetic. ( x men movie Magneto in original version comes to mind.)

Because not all bullets have fero metal casings. So some bullets that version of Eric cannot stop.
