I meant production wise not storyline wise. As this might of been produced before the revelation from last issue as covers take longer to draw sometimes.

ASTONISHING X-MEN and CABLE/DEADPOOL Annuals Up Prices, Add Pages

Marvel are raising the prices and page counts of two X-Men related annuals just announced in this week's August 2018 solicitations.

Both Cable and Deadpool Annual #1 and Astonishing X-Men Annual #1 are now priced at $4.99 with 40 pages of content, up from their $3.99/32 page counts earlier this week.

No reason was given for the change, but a similar price/page increase was done in early May for three of Marvel's July titles.

I dont get why it would matter when the cover was drawn

Cause sometimes covers may or may not spoil things. Or sometimes the artist doesn't get the memo that certain characters had a radical change or are dead. For example in X-men vs Avengers storyline with had Archangel vs Daredevil variant cover when technically at the end of DAS we had NuAngel just for an example. Right now there is also that issue with whether or not Eyeboy is alive but you can see what I mean.
