    Thor. Much more interesting.

    Thor

Because when someone else got popular besides him they were screwed over like many of Hal's buddies. Especially the one named John.

I dunno he's more interesting than Super Green Beret.

I'll pick Hal Jordan because it was interesting seeing his character grow from the fifties to the nineties. He went from a rookie to a legend to the biggest threat to the universe.

While I know little about Hal, I have never really found him or even the whole Green Lantern thing that interesting. Thor I have loved ever since discovering the character, plus the lore around him, Asgard, the realms etc is fascinating.

Plus, I find Chris Hemsworth much more attractive then Ryan Reynolds... yes, I took that into account.

You mean the Odinson? If it is so, I vote Jordan.

If we're talking about Jane Foster, I vote for her hands down. She rocks. It's a hard question tho. I'm a hardcore GL fan, but Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner have a more important place in my heart than Jordan.

Hal Jordan is pretty cool, I like him. Thor has a brilliant history, though.

That's what I thought. Outside of Thor being a sometimes cosmic hero, they're completely different characters.

Maybe the comparison should be Hal vs Carol Danvers or Hal vs Nova?

Why do I feel like this thread is going to eventually devolve into Hal bashing ?

Y'know, I actually think Hal and Thor could easily become pretty good drinking buddies depending on the situation. Hal would have fun not taking Thor seriously and at his bombastic and noble personality while Thor would begrudgingly respect Hal's cockiness and how assured he is of himself. It would be like his relationship with Batman without all the vitriol the latter is so often depicted with.

Hal would probably remind Thor of Hawkeye. Thor would probably remind Hal of the Guardians and Wonder Woman.

You know at some point, Hal is going to get the crazy idea to challenge Thor to throw Mjolnir at him to see if his ring can block/divert it.

It's hard to compare the two become they come from such different kinds of mythos. Hal Jordan is a hero for the Space Age...sci-fi space cowboy. Thor is ancient Norse mythology made modern.
