Do you think Dan Slott understands Peter?

While Dan Slott seems to take a lot of heat on this board, for me he has proven to be one of the great Spider-Man writers. While the direction of the book has gone downhill a bit for me since Superior, despite some twists and turns overall I still find his writing to be fun; and that's what a great Spider-Man comic book should be: Fun.

Personally, I can't take a poster seriously who forms that strong of an opinion off of things taken out of context or said as quick quips on a panel. ;-)

I’ve heard the “mentally 15” thing used a lot as proof you don’t understand the character, and most people agree that anyone acting 10-11 years too young is not a healthy state of mind. To be fair and get both sides of the argument, could you please clarify what you meant by that?

I couldn't find the exact post but, someone said after Superior, Slott's Spidey has been... lacking. I totally agree. Slott's Brand New Day pulled me back into comics, it was great stuff! After Superior though... I don't even pull Amazing anymore and I'm stoked for new blood with 801

I don't think that anyone at Marvel understands Spider-Man anymore. Marvel's basically spent the last 10 years trying to remake his personality into that of a manchild who can never get his **** together.
