KJ's Live Action Human-Only Tournament/League

Welcome to KJ's Live Action Human-Only Tournament/League!

For those of you familiar with standard tournaments on Rumbles, and those of you familiar with the classic Rumblers Leagues, this will be something of a mixture of both (in the sense that it will be slightly more complex than a standard tourney, but it won't require anything close to the dedication of a Rumblers League).

For this tournament, each participant will pick a team of 12 (twelve) members. Once the tournament starts, a round-robin format will begin, in which each team will find themselves dropped into 12 (twelve) different scenarios spread over 12 (twelve) different rounds/threads.

Each scenario will be a disaster, catastrophe, invasion or mission of some sort from existing fiction. Each participant will be given the option to present their argument as to how their team is best-equipped to deal with each scenario, and users will then be asked to vote for the top 3 (three) that are best-equipped to do so. The team with the most votes will get 3 (three) points for that round, the team with the second most votes will get 2 (two) points and the team with the third most votes will get 1 (one) point. At the end of the 12 rounds, the team with the most points win the league. There will be no knockouts - all participating teams get to participate in all twelve rounds.

So, for example, the teams might each be dropped into the middle of a specific alien invasion from a movie. Whichever team is deemed best-equipped to stop the invasion wins 3 points and so forth (if no teams are deemed capable of prevailing, users will simply vote for the team they think will come closest to doing so).

Here are the rules for picking your team:

- As already mentioned, 12 members will be picked for each team.
- Every single team member must be human.
- Every single team member must be from a live action source (and any live action characters only get their live action feats).
- Team members can have powers, but within reason (see the next point).
- Every team member must lose to MCU Captain America 10 times out of 10 in Khazan one-on-one (real world level guns are, however, allowed, so your character is allowed them - they must not be able to beat Cap without them).
- One pick at a time per entrant.
- Wait until half an hour after your last pick OR until 5 (five) other entrants have made a pick.
- Second teams MAY be allowed depending on the number of teams we get.

There will be no prep, but if your team get dropped in a scenario and you say "Team Member X heads off for half an hour to build a bomb" or "Team Member Y takes the team aside to discuss tactics", that will be allowed - just bear in mind that may result in your team being deemed to have taken longer than others to complete their task, whatever it may be (and that might lose you votes).

Team members won't be able to call on friends or allies - the only people able to aid them are their 11 other team members.

Everyone will be acting in-character. So, if you have a team member who loves chaos and destruction, they are unlikely to want to save humanity from an alien invasion. That being said, they may be useful for other tasks. Pick carefully.

I WILL be entering this tournament, but I will allow 2 (two) other entrants to make their first picks before I consider making mine.

Cleric currently has a tournament that is due to start. This one will begin only after that one has come to a conclusion, so we aren't stepping on any toes and so people don't have to concentrate on two tournaments at a time.

If anything, they're pretty close in strength, but Cap was fighting in a war that was using disintegration guns, that's well beyond anything Matrix pulled out, even throwing a steel pipe through a man and a boiler door is on the lower end of Cap's feats.

Right, okay. I think I'll make an amendment to that rule anyway, because I wasn't really going for "no guns".

Cap should beat them 10/10 hand-to-hand. Real world level guns are allowed. Guns will be needed.
