So long as they can be beaten by Capt. America and are technically "human". The reason I picked Sirius was because most of the spells in HP are easily dodgeable by teenage wizards *in case you can't tell I'm rolling my eyes* So while the spells are basically a laser light show, they have quite a bit of usefulness. The real reason I picked Sirius however is because he's an Animagus and that will be significantly useful. But the movie HP verse is pretty watered down in terms of magic and it helps diversify a team.

To be clear, the "hand-to-hand" rule was to accommodate guns.

If your magic user would lose to Captain America in a punch-up, but has the ability to turn him into a frog, fire lightning at him, teleport him to the sun or otherwise using magic, they aren't allowed.

There's a very clear rule about powers that has been in place since the start.

As for the wizards, they can cast a variety of spells such as teleport and other spells that are useful, but that may be beyond the intent of the tourney so if you don't feel comfortable using them we can scrap them as well.

As for Star Wars, I don't imagine them being 100% human as this does take place in a Galaxy "...far, far away"

Since the wizards are out I'll replace mine with Chewbacca (Star Wars). Edit: seconds later I realized Chewbacca is not human. I'll take his buddy Han Solo instead. Young version of course.
