Default Date numerical representation different in each countries

Is it true most of the Western World except the U.S and their territories who uses mm/dd/yyyy (for most of us use mm/dd/yy) but other or most Western world use dd/mm/yyyy ..

and other side uses yyyy/mm/dd (I even hear some use the Roman numerals for the month which I think is kind of cool..) ??

I was blown away by this, I actually didn't believe it when someone told me I thought they were pulling my leg..

Which Date rep is used the most?

I think you've go that backwards.

Certainly, Britain uses dd/mm/yyyy and the US uses mm/dd/yyyy. I've no idea what the rest of the world uses.

Computer data often uses yyyy/mm/dd though, purely because you can sort it alphabetically (or numerically if it's yyyymmdd).
