So micro-transactions have become a serious pet peeve lately I see between Loot Crates in SW: BF2, Shadow of War and Faizia 7. Personally I've been enjoying the Battlefront 2 beta but I can also see why people could be worried about a pay to win like system in that game, especially when this is a full priced game and not just cosmetics like Overwatch.
Yeah, those micro-transactions are all kind of infuriating really.
Especially when it's going to directly influence the actual gaming experience. I mean, i don't mind cosmetic stuff, if you want to spend 10 bucks on a fancy digital scarf, be my guest. I don't understand why you do it, but it doesn't bother me. (why though dude lol? Why?)
Now, pay to win? Hell, if it's how it's going to be then it will be with friends and/or solo only for me cause very little things can make my blood boils faster than a pay to win system.
The game seems awesome so far though, great beta. It puts Battlefront 1 to shame.

Can anyone explain to me in what way that the selling of blind lootboxes is legitimately different than a slot machine? Other than the fact that a slot machine gives out stuff that you can use outside of that particular casino?
Oh so this is where the Battlefront II Beta is being discussed! Anyway, I'm perfectly fine with these loot crates for now. As of right now, they honestly don't seem to give me that much of an advantage. My three star cards, first order weapon, and 1 modification to the weapon hasn't particularly saved my kill streak. I still die just as easily. Still takes skill.
Also, as long as the loot crates are able to be obtained for free, even the most powerful ones. One or two exclusives cards for pre order is fine. I like the progression of buying these crates, I like my character at least being able to come a little bit stronger. Also replacing abilities is really fun to change up my gameplay style. Reminds me of Lost Planet 2's abilities.
Okay, so the ESRB's answer to this is that, as all lootboxes give you *something*, that means that there is zero chance of not getting anything, which is the difference between lootboxes and actual gambling. I guess that means that all virtual casinos need to do is make it so that any bet guarantees at least 1 cent returns and the ESRB will no longer list them as containing gambling.

Lot of Mega Man news today.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 are heading to the Switch.
Mega Man X 1-8 are heading to all consoles and PC. I'm unsure if this will be a collection or series of collections or individual releases.
And Mega Man 11 was officially announced for all consoles and PC.
