Now if only King can rescue Bekka from the Sinestro Corps! Or has that nonsense finally ended? I haven't been following the Lantern books lately.

I know I was getting darned sick of seeing Bekka as Sinestro's lackey.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

She hasn't popped up in the current GL books among the Sinestro Corps., so...I'm guessing she isn't a part of them anymore?

Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.

I also wonder if this will take place after the darkseid war ? hopefully, although this might be a companion series to the Dark nights event that will be going on this summer. it's an epic event & has all of the DC universe involved. just a guess.

if its a New gods #1 by tom king? take my wallet.

Hopefully, it's not Batman and the New Gods #1.... with Batman babysitting Baby Darkseid.

It was cool seeing her but the lackey character Bunn gave her was dumb.

But with Batman's history of molding young boys......that could be epic reading......especially if Frank Miller wrote it.

    Already posted this elsewhere:
It came to me that since heavyweight Josh Brolin is cast as Thanos team DC needs a Darkseid to match him. What do you guys think of Javier Bardem or Forest Whitaker? He has to make us believe he can keep Ciaran Hinds in line. Maybe Christoph Waltz as Desaad or Glorious Godfrey?

    I agree with this.

I wonder if they are going to address what happened in New 52 with Darkseid or make a joke it was all caused by Dr. Manhattan.

I hope Tom King somehow captures the magic Jack Kibry put into the New Gods and also the love and loyalty Mister Miracle and Big Barda have for each other.

I actually hope it gets launched as a Young Animal title so the cancellation threshold would be lower.

I'd rather it just be a 6/12 issue series, King tends to do better with a set number of issues.

I'd pick this up if Tom Grummet was the artist for the series. Looking back at his second run SUPERBOY with Karl Kesel at the end of the Nineties, with the Kirby influenced look, and storylines. Project Cadmus. The Evil Factory. Hypertension. Grokk. Knockout. He'd be at the top of my list for a New Gods series.

From the previews/teases, it looks like the artist will be Mitch Gerads.
Note: it's also mentioned that 'the project' will supposedly be a 12-issue series that starts in August.
