Default The Greatest Unfinished Spider-man plotline ever

Back sometime in the mid-80s, we we treated to this set up in many of the Marvel titles.

Peter is supposed to do a news story on a VIP only to find him missing.

So he goes back as Spider-man to investigate, find a clue, and says he's going to track him done.

This isn't addressed again until a year later when we find the villain that may be responsible. The story never says, but it's likely.

And since then... nothing. The plot cuts off in mid-supervillain confrontation and has never been resolved. Isn't it time we got some resolution on that?

Heck yeah we should! Or somebody should at least ask editorial if they can finish it! I like the idea of Parker solving another mystery.

There was a whodunnit involving Spidey and Nova in the 1970s...

Just think about all the readers who read the Captain Crunch mystery. These weren't just Spider-Man readers. Presumably the ads were done in other series as well.

So someone who read the X-Men in the 80s may have a hard time sleeping tonight because they're still wondering if Spider-Man can rescue Captain Crunch.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

Pretty sure the Sogmaster was shown later being beaten by the Captain, so we can only surmise how he escaped captivity in the first place. We do know that the Soggy army later took out both Batman and Frank Miller. While Superman stood by watching it happen (jerk!).
