Sunspot Appreciation

I wish that the New Mutants were more incorporated into the X-men rosters of heavy hitters. I would love to see Sunspot in a group with some of the A list X-men, like Iceman for example. It always seems that X-men characters are grouped together in terms of the generation they came in. If the New Mutants are full grown adults and teachers, there is no reason not to have them in books like Gold or Blue. I guess with Sunspot we won't see the chance since he's in New Avengers.

Well didn't get the costume (yet), but on USAvengers missions where Roberto serves as mission control (and coordinating with SHIELD/regular military), he uses "Citizen V" as a communications handle.

He is, with a kid even. They briefly feature in the latest "USAvengers" issue where Sam returns briefly to the alien world where they live. After a heart to heart with his wife (gah! forgot who she was!) Sam decides to break it to Roberto that he's resigning from the team, when next he goes to Earth (Death Flag!)

Sunspot is awesome and I'm glad he's been getting more attention.

Still, I'd rather see him on an X-Men team than an Avengers.
Cannonball, Rictor, and Bedlam would make great teammates.

Oddly enough Sunspot is getting love in USavengers after being in Uncanny Avengers, which is good as he deserves the attention! But he is probably going to be permanently in the Avengers side of things now.

He looks mixed to me. Like a Mestizo so I'm ok with this casting
