X-Men: Dark Phoenix Movie Speculation and News

May as well get the ball rolling with the thread for the next core X-Film. As we all know by now, the next film is apparently subtitled Dark Phoenix, and is scheduled for release on November 2, 2018.

Well that would work for me. Angel should get a chance at being an X-man. I still doubt it will happen. X-films typically kill minor henchmen characters, and they will probably want to bring in some new mutant characters.

This will be the first film where Jean will be in the top 3 screen time wise!

But he was left for dead by the X-Men in the movie. The only prior comnection he has to any of them is Nightcrawler kicking his ass. Him appearing as an X-Men would require a great deal more explanation.

Which they promptly forgot by the time xmen (not)apocalypse came out. Remember how Angel was turning into a full-on alcoholic because his wing was damaged and thought he couldn't fly anymore before (not)apocalypse got ahold of him? Someone doesn't fall into that kinda depression over a limp that'll heal in a couple hours/days.

As far as the movie itself is concerned, I have no interest at this point. Firstly, they already did a **** job dark phoenix story called X3, and now they want to screw it up all over again. Every single Xmen movie outside of first class (directed by the vastly underrated Matthew Vaughn) was disappointing at best. Brian Singer and Fox have no clue how to create a good, let alone a great, Xmen film. So waste your time and money on something you already know will be terrible if you want. I'm not falling for it anymore.

The guy that crapped on the Phoenix(Tom Rothman) doesn't work at Fox anymore though.

Brian Singer and Fox have no clue how to create a good, let alone a great, Xmen film. So waste your time and money on something you already know will be terrible if you want.

Well not everyone shares that opinion. To most people First Class wasn't as good as X2.

If the idea of the movie is centered around Jean trying to change the fate she had in the original timeline, then it could work.
