Again, according to that initial Hollywood Reporter link/announcement, the merger will be completed by the end of 2018/beginning of 2019. Slightly before even the previous release date. Make of it what you will.

To give hope a PG13 rerelease of Deadpool 2 could be to see how well it does if they want to add Deadpool to the MCU. Deadpool is the one Fox property I don't think they'll reboot it's too successful but if they want him to crossover with other characters he'd have to be PG-13 and they may want to see if audiences will accept that.

Now in all seriousness I am fully aware that there are a lot of people rooting for this movie to be great and who are fans of the Fox Franchise interpretation of the X-men and I respect that. I disagree entirely, but I respect that. And truly as a fellow X-fan I feel bad that the wait for you guys has been prolonged further. Again. But honestly this is just an embarrassment. To change the release date of a film you just premiered a trailer for with a now incorrect release date? Less than 48 hours apart??? I mean, this is a better written comedy than Thor: Ragnarok.
