You want to know how the comic version got the name? lol

Hans Zimmer is scoring X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Best addition to Dark Phoenix after hiring Mad Max action coordinator.
The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-MEN with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels.

I hope they still use the main titles from X2/DoFP/Apocalypse, though.

I don't. And they probably won't thankfully. Every X-MEN film Ottoman was not a part of they didn't use it.

I hate that he had both jobs of editing and composing. X-STATIC at finally a separation of church and state.

Just when I thought my excitement level for this movie couldn't get any higher, I hear this. Freaking stoked.

I'd love that, too, as I love that X-Men theme, but I have a feeling Zimmer'll change it up.

I really hope that, with New Mutants being pushed back and Deadpool 2 being pushed up, we'll see a teaser from this movie a lot sooner than we would have otherwise. The anticipation for this one is killing me.

Just because Ottoman isn't doing the soundtrack doesn't mean they won't use theme.

Either Fox cut a nice check or Zimmer saw some he liked in the footage. This is really good news for Dark Phoenix. Probably best news yet

I thought he said not that long ago that he quit doing superhero scores. Anyway, this shows that Kinberg is as good a producer as he is bad a writer.

    X3 used Ottman's opening music.

As long as Ottoman isn't editing then it's a improvement.

So very competent but somewhat generic then.

Sidenote: is this common, hiring a composer this late in the game? I would have assumed the score would have been finished, or at least started on, ages ago.

Well the movie doesn’t release until almost a year from now.
