Default Things you never want to see in a Batman comic ever again

-I never want to see him to solve a mystery by finding a matchbook

-Never want to see a big glory shot of all the villains who then get taken out over the course of one or two pages

-Never want to see a Batfamily story where the drama revolves around him pushing the family away and doing things on his own

-Never want to see the Joker hijack the airwaves and broadcast his plans (BTAS was particularly bad about this)

-And I realize this is a stretch, but for at least like one year, please, no pearls, no gun, no alley!

Tynion/Snyder-esque plots that involve a new villain inserted into a hero's past popping up for the first time in the present, often reframing the hero's entire history. Nightwing and the Court of Owls, Batwoman and the Colony, Orphan and the Mother, Batman's "First Ally," etc.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.
    -Dick Grayson (Batman Inc.)

Enjoy never having new villains and/or revelations about a character then, I guess.

I absolutely agree with this! I think Snyder uses it so much because every single arc is THE BIGGEST STORY I'VE EVER DONE and IT WILL SHAKE BATMAN TO HIS CORE!...if every arc is the biggest ever, then you have to hit the ground running with your new badguy. Introducing new characters and building them into a unique threat takes time.

The best example I can think of off the top of my head is Bane. Back in the 90's, he got a one-shot that gave his origin. Then, he randomly started appearing in the batbooks. Watching, studying. He wanted to break the bat because of the stories he had heard about him. The writers took months to set up that confrontation, even before Bane broke Arkham open. Unfortunately, few writers today seem to have the patience to do this (or perhaps they fear the readers don't have patience enough to read it), so every new character is "a ghost from the past."

I have no doubt that if Bane were invented today, he & Bruce would be connected somehow and that would be Bane's motivation. Instead of breaking the Bat to prove to himself he could do it, he would do it simply for revenge.

As for my own idea, I would like to not see Batman take down JLA members again for at least a decade. That bit during Endgame was just embarassing to read.

Every post I make, it should be assumed by the reader that the following statement is attached: "It's all subjective. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for you, and vice versa, and that's ok. You may have a different opinion on it, but this is mine. That's the wonderful thing about being a comics fan, it's all subjective."

Same mate. Joker is boring that way.
My favorite characters of all time are Bruce Wayne and Dracula.

-Duke x Gotham Girl..... PFFF... Create this character only for made her a Duke girlfriend? The powers will dissapear... What is the next one boyfriend for harper?

-Clayface as Villain (but Unfortunately, he will be villain again)

-Red Hood with another team as Outlaws, this is the perfect team for him.. Bizarre should not go back to luthor.

Don't give Snyder any ideas! XD

Agreed 100%. Clayface has been a major highlight of 'Tec, as have his interactions with Cass. Thing is, there are so many damn Clayfaces in canon that there's no need to make Karlo a villain again. Hopefully Tynion realized that.

Agreed. Jason, Artemis, and Bizarro have been perfect together.

No... NO... NO... Snyder... Don´t heard this crazy boy..

I think that... in the 2nd volume of Batgirl, we see Cass kissing one boy in one bar... I would like to see a NO VIGILANT boyfriend for Cass... this could be interesting

Thanks, for your support with the outlaws.

Yeah, I heard about maybe 5 clayfaces... Even one żLADY? Clayface I know about the existence of one woman with clayface powers..

Both rock solid. The first one could also include the clue of a culprit having left a special type of mud at a crime scene, that turns out to only exists at an abandoned factory of some kind. I'd like to add a small handbook over how Arkham should be handled:

*No villains in their regular duds while they're in their cells.
*No nom-de-guerres on cells. For example, Scarecrow's cell should always be marked "Jonathan Crane", not "Scarecrow".
*No treating Arkham as the only correctional facility in Gotham. It's a mental facility first and foremost, and people who aren't deemed criminally insane (i.e Penguin, Bane) shouldn't be housed there.

...and a bonus one; Ra's al-Ghul as an ersatz 70's Bond villain with huge secret bases, throngs of uniformed henchmen and "destroy the world!"-plans. Batman Begins (and to an extent, Scott Snyder's take on him in All-Star Batman) contextualized him much better.
