RessuruXIon: New Acolytes dream team

Since RessuruXIon is bringing back some old villains, like Shadow King, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Black Tom, Juggernaut and the Hellions, why not bring back the Acolytes?

We already have Exodus teaming up with Elixir, why not reform the them?

There are seceral members still alive; Amelia Voght, Projector, Uniscione, Neophyte, Gargouille and Vindaloo. Random was a part time member, he's also still alive.

Then we also saw Reaper, Abyss and Fatale brought back in All New X-Factor.

Now would that not make an awesome new Acolytes team?

They could take residence on Utopia, so that great location will be used again as well. There were some villains there as well they could use like Dragoness, Bliss and Litterbug.

When I think Acolytes, I think extremist or at least characters that believe in something bigger than themselves. Saying this I can say there are several X-Men that are capable of crossing from end of the spectrum to the other, however, not blindly;

Bishop
Marrow
Northstar (can see him be disenfranchised with the X-Men)
Lifeguard (never fully indoctrinated to the X-Men)
Hellion
Quiton Quire
Polaris

I don't think we need another super team of villains but a team of heroes, or at least people who believe they are, trying to make a difference. Possibly outside of the reins of the X-Men's way of doing things. Maybe they don't want to spend their time teaching young mutants just to hand them over to world to be hunted, chewed up spat out. What's the point of preparing them to live in a world that's inaccessible to them? Perhaps they don't see the point in grandstanding like Kitty has been/ will be? If they are Acolytes they'll have to be following someone. Whether it's Magneto or Exodus carrying on Magnetos dogma, with some modifications to suit the new group, doesn't really matter.

I don't think Frenzy would go back under the old ways of the Acolytes. Unlike a lot, if not most, of the X-Men she's a hero for the joy and the feeling of helping people. Not in thanks for saving her life, love or helping her with her powers. She stayed on because she fell in love with how doing "good" made her feel about herself. After Age of X and being rejected by Cyclops the way she was, I think a lot of superhumans would have thrown a super fit and used that to justify her actions by being "scorned". For her to be part of another group using that name, it'd have to change it's fundamental beliefs and ways of operation. If that were the case, I'd push the argument of making her a leader of such a group. Probably not led by a bunch of hard-edge of villains though. Though with her temperament and matching powers, I love to see her keep a cadre of ex-baddies in line, much like a Suicide Squad or Forge's X-Factor.

I'd would love to Amelia Voght again. Sadly, shes another character whos fallen into the marvel abyss, forgotten by time (and writers).

Radius is too but what better reason for someone to be an Acolyte of a Celestial if you lost your powers due to an evil evolved donkey sorceress?
