Default Your all-time favorite tv drama series

I'm probably flying fast and loose with the term 'drama series' because some of mine could be considered sci-fy, detective, action, etc... But I'm including any tv show that has regular drama in it.

Also, I'm limiting these to night-time only. Daytime soap operas are a whole category into themselves IMO.

    Mine:

    1. The Waltons
    2. Dallas
    3. Star Trek TOS
    4. Murder She Wrote
    5. Friday Night Lights
    6. Mad Men
    7. Knots Landing
    8. Little House On The Prairie
    9. This Is Us
    10. Melrose Place
    11. Family
    12. Adam 12
    13. Barnaby Jones
    14. In The Heat Of The Night
    15. Charlie's Angels
    16. Columbo
    17. Falcon Crest
    18. Marcus Welby MD
    19. Touched By An Angel
    20. Perry Mason

Hopefully, this counts. But when you bring up drama series, you certainly can't go wrong with anything pertaining to high school...

    My list
    Game of Thrones
    Lost
    Star Trek Deep Space Nine
    Babylon Five
    Picket Fences
    Buffy The Vampire Slayer
    Alias
    Twilight Zone
    Star Trek The Next Generation
    Evil
    The Good Wife/Good Fight
    Dallas
    Kolchak the Night Stalker
    American Gothic
    Melrose Place

There are shows I really loved for a minute like seasons one and two of Heroes but the rest of it I really didn't care for. There are shows that were very well written and I enjoyed but I never loved, Succession, The Wire, Oz, Sherlock and Luther

I'm going to leave out Trek (Most Trek had little "Drama" IMO it was mostly problem solving) for the same reason I'm leaving out Procedurals like Law and Order.

Dallas (Both Series the reboot had issues in Season 3, but JR's sendoff was fantastic)
    Battlestar Galactica (2004)
    West Wing
    Sopranos
    Melrose Place
Beverly Hills 90210 (Boy did I date myself with those two)
    All in the Family
    Little House on the Prairie
    Waltons
Family Ties (While a sitcom like All in the Family it mixed in drama well)
    Babylon 5
    Oz
    The Wire

Almost all of my favorite shows are 'genre' shows. Sci-fi, fantasy, superpowers. (Buffy, iZombie, Killjoys, Babylon 5, Legend of the Seeker, Eureka, Game of Thrones, Firefly, Sarah Conner Chronicles, Arrow, The Boys, Deep Space Nine, Supernatural) Stuff like that.

For just plain drama, the one that jumps out at me right now is Life. Followed perhaps by The Finder.

Otherwise, I like embarrassingly bad eye-candy shows like Silk Stalkings, Suits, Blue Collar, Spartacus, etc.

I am sure my list did not even come close. Just something I tossed off the top of my head. For example, I did not list The Sopranos, which definitely should be there. Probably Burn Notice, too.

Hopefully, this counts. But, you can't get any more dramatic than Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV):

Ooh, Burn Notice, I forgot that one, too! Any show that manages to use Bruce Campbell and *not* make him an Ash caricature or 'joke' character gets bonus points from me.
