Congratulations to Greg Hatcher for a cover which caught my eye along with many others. He knows well this game and how to play it. That cover was a fine example of how well the Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire JLI mixed ideas and emotions. The humor, danger, and power of the characters were all evident to us, despite a lack of costumes. OK, It was bruce disguised as Batman, redisguising himself as Bruce. See how much fun they were!
As to what I've learned this week, the Captain realizes that he should not quit his current day job. A fold-up, pull-out in a college newspaper does not a CBR contest winner make. However, it's all part of my life-story. The photo of me was taken by a woman who had another photo of hers featured on the front page of USA Today. The pose was based on a Dustin Hoffman Tootsie promo photo which I placed my cutout figure over. Plus, I'm wearing a wig as was Dustin. TMI, I know.
