Marvel doesn't really seem to do environmental superheroes

It would be cool to see Oracle back. I would love to see people with powers use them in creative ways to help. Think of what someone like Plantman could do if he really turned his powers to good. He could make a fortune. There are so many characters if you sat down and thought about it could help the planet. Molecule Man alone could clean up ever toxic waste site in a week if he wanted too.

The Presence, in the 'radioactive zone' in Russia (sort of the 616 version of Chernobyl cranked up to 11), might find that the innate radioactivity of his region is diminishing (half-life and radioactive decay and all that), and that he craves that sort of high-energy environment, and so encourages all nations to dump their most radioactive waste in his territory, where he can leech off of the energy released (and kind of serve as an environmentally-friendly means of getting rid of radioactive waste, as he 'eats' the radiation given off, and leaves it harmless slag).

But yeah, there are tons of options. Iceman could likely single-handedly deal with global climate change, by just visiting the poles a day or two each year and refreezing the polar ice caps to a depth of five feet or five meters, or whatever works to slow or prevent de-glaciation and ice shelves calving off and sea levels rising.

Storm and Thor and Aero and Iso, ridiculous effects on monsoon or hurricane seasons. Rictor or Magma or Quake, similar potential regarding earthquakes or vulcanism. Anybody who can open a portal to a distant place (or outer space, or another dimension) like Ilyanna or Reed Richards (to the negative zone) or anyone using Pym particles or various sorcerers like Strange or Hellstrom or Wiccan could 'vanish' vast quantities of waste. That mile wide floating garbage gyre in the mid-Atlantic? Woosh. It's in the darkforce dimension now. Thanks Cloak!

But then it wouldn't be 'the world outside your window' if anything heroes did *mattered*, or was allowed to have any sort of significant or lasting effect on the world, I guess...

It's pretty much the subject of the current Hulk storyline (Hulk vs Roxxon). I'm actually reading the Aaron/Thor storyline digitally right now, funny enough. Namor's involved too.
